Melwood Global provided a full range of strategic communications counsel and media relations for the Environmental League of Massachusetts (ELM), which has been the premiere environmental advocacy organization in Massachusetts since the late 1800s. Melwood acted as an external communications arm for the league, which has no internal communications team – and guided strategy and implementation on legislative public awareness campaigns, the release of an annual legislative scorecard, thought leadership efforts on key environmental, energy, and economic activities. Melwood also helped spearhead an effort to increase the political potency of the environmental movement through ELM’s political action committee and its national partnership with the League of Conservation Voters.
