Jess Silva-Hodges is the Director of Creative Services with Melwood Global. Jess is a skilled writer, graphic designer, web designer, videographer, earned and social media strategist and marketing specialist. She returned to Melwood in December 2023 after serving as Chief Marketing and Communications Officer for the Brockton Public Schools for four years.

From 2017 to 2019, Jess served as Melwood’s Director of Digital Strategy. She was the digital director for multiple successful advocacy efforts and winning political campaigns in Massachusetts. Now back with Melwood, Jess will leverage her diverse skill set to provide creative and strategic direction to our clients’ various communication initiatives.

Jess joined Melwood Global from Tri-County Regional Vocational Technical School District , where she was responsible for conceptualizing and implementing the district’s marketing and outreach initiatives. She began her career at FOX 25 News (now Boston 25) as a writer and web producer. During her time in the newsroom, Jess provided digital news coverage of many high-profile stories, including the racketeering trial of James J. “Whitey” Bulger.

Jess has a bachelor’s degree in Mediated Communications from Stonehill College and a master’s degree in Marketing from Southern New Hampshire University. She lives in Brockton, Massachusetts, with her son.
