In her time with WCVB’s Chronicle, the longest-running news magazine program in the country, Ellen assisted with the production of the nightly show, produced live events and segments for air and launched two podcasts. Chronicle helped Ellen discover her passion for video story-telling and television.
That passion led her to an on-air role as the State House reporter for WWLP, an NBC affiliate in Springfield, Massachusetts. During her time with WWLP, she covered everything from the inauguration of Governor Maura Healey as the first female elected Governor to housing, immigration, politics and more. She also was a one-woman band, responsible for securing interviews, getting the right shot, light and sound, and editing packages for air. She had the opportunity to interview everyone from the House Speaker and the Senate President to the Attorney General and Governor.
Ellen also worked as the Communication Director for Senator John F. Keenan, beginning her love for government and policy. She handled media requests, assisted with legislative needs and represented the Senator on several special committees.
The South Shore native took to the North Shore when it came to college, graduating with a degree in Communication, with a focus in Internet Studies from Endicott College.
