Project Description

Melwood currently assists Inversant (formerly known as FUEL Education), a Massachusetts based nonprofit organization focused on access to higher education. Unlike college access programs that focus on the student or the school, Inversant helps entire families prepare for higher education through saving circles, savings accounts and other financial incentives such as bonuses that encourage families to save. To help propel its mission, Melwood has provided media relations and communications support including media relations, infographics development and paid media advertising. Thus far, Melwood’s assistance has resulted in dozens of news stories featured in outlets as diverse as The Boston Globe, WBUR-FM, WBZ-AM, WHDH-TV and WFXT-TV, as well as success with paid advertising including scripting, creating and purchasing air time for a Boston-area radio campaign to raise awareness of Inversant, its goals and programs.
