Matt Yan joins Melwood Global as a co-op from Northeastern University with experience in social media, journalism, editing and writing.

Matt hails from Washington, DC and is a second-year student at Northeastern, pursuing a combined B.A. in Journalism and English with a minor in French. An avid storyteller, Matt has experience reporting on issues of social justice as well as topics related to Gen Z, food and lifestyle. Prior to joining Melwood, he was an Editorial Intern at Edible DC, a local food publication, and Social Media Editor for The Huntington News, Northeastern University’s independent student newspaper. He is excited to dive deeper into the world of public relations, strategic communications and policy work at Melwood.

In his free time, Matt can be found editing stories as the Lifestyle Editor for The Huntington News or in the kitchen, working through cookbooks with his roommates and friends. He also loves to travel and find obscure places to explore.
